I’m finally taking a moment to write about the wonderful people that God has put in our lives that will stand with us on our wedding day. These are our dear friends and we are so blessed by their love & friendship. More to come soon!!

Loryn Brown, Maid of Honor

Since the day I left home pretty much Loryn & I have been roommates and best friends. We shared a bedroom (with matching bedspreads) for several years & we even worked many of the same jobs. God has blessed me deeply with her love and friendship. She has not only made my life so much more fun, she has taught me much about discipline and about loving the Lord faithfully. (We’re not usually this tan).

Kate Wright, Bridesmaid

I used to always tell Kate that I’d marry her if she were a man. She has been a dear friend since high school and I have learned so much from her — how to be a good listener, how to share in other’s joy & sorrows. She has been a constant encouragement to me, especially in regards to my relationship to Patrick. The first time I was upset at Patrick, she told me scripture said I could not let the sun set on my anger and that I had to tell Patrick how I was feeling. She not only loves me deeply but challenges me to be a more godly woman.

Brittany Hosner, Bridesmaid

Brittany & I met in college — God brought her all the way from California to swim for UNT & He so thoughtfully put her in my life. She is a humble, incredibly thoughtful, godly woman. She & I were in Bible study together when Patrick & I met & she has always been such an encouragement to both of us. We’re glad that she’s planning to stay in Texas!

Ingrid Stockinger, Bridesmaid

Ingrid & I met at UNT when I first moved to Denton. I didn’t have a job & she didn’t have a car, so we spent a lot of time together! We became good friends and being from Europe, she would spend some of her holidays with my family. After college Mom & I got to go visit her in Austria (the picture of us is from her hometown, Innsbruck). She, Patrick & I went to a concert together the night he decided he liked me. She was always up for having coffee & helping me figure out how I was feeling about him. She’s wonderful & we’re so excited that she’s coming for the wedding!!

Tawni Lauren Gray, Bridesmaid

Tawni is my niece, who I grew up doing everything with. I thought my parents were so cruel when they moved us two hours away from Tawni when I was eight. God drew her to Denton to go to school and He has reminded me of His love & faithfulness to draw His children close through watching Him pursue Tawni. It has been a sweet pleasure to see her long to love Christ more and grow in Him. She is such a hard working, bright woman & I look forward to the day she can do my taxes!

Well, you have all probably received our wedding invitations — we had a lot of fun making them & getting them out & we made some mistakes in the process! :)

Somehow, I ended up putting the WRONG hotel information. Patrick’s Dad so kindly put the contracts together for usÂ & all I had to do was finalize theÂ details & get the information out to you all! We do have rooms reserved for you at the Holiday Inn — they are $99 a night & include a yummy breakfast. We also have rooms reserved at the Quality Inn for $69 a night also including a breakfast. There are no rooms reserved at Comfort Suites.

Rooms will be held until July 11th. I am so sorry for the confusion. Thank you for your patience & understanding. We can’t wait to see you all!

wedding invitations are in the mail!

Whew. I’m so thankful to have that task complete. It is so handy being engaged to Patrick. He designed our save the dates, invitations, map/hotel cards & is currently working on the rehearsal dinner invitation. Not only do we have simple, consistent, beautiful desings — we’ve saved tons of money. He also traded website design/development for our engagement pictures & is also doing that for reception decorations! I am a very blessed bride.

Other exciting news:

My wedding dress is in & I’ll be getting fitted this week.
Grandma Daly made me some beautiful jewelry that I might be wearing on my wedding day!!
My maid of honor recently got a new car! (random, but very exciting)
My boss gave me one entire day off because we’ve been working so hard! I’ll spend that day running wedding errands!
This month is completely full of wedding showers. I am so excited to see everyone that I love!
My co-workers are going to help me make wedding favors!
Ingrid will be flying in for the wedding in 46 days!
Patrick & I are starting a running routine tonight.
In 52 daysÂ Patrick & I will be husband & wife!!!

Engagement Photos Are Here!

A couple weekends ago Kasey and I went to the square where we met our friends Jared and Jessica Hernandez – Jared has been refining his photographic skills for a few years now and has come a long way. We didn’t hesitate to ask him if he would take our engagement and wedding pictures (unfortunately, he’ll be out of town in July).

The results are in now and we want to share some of the best pictures.

Here we are, 118 days away from our wedding! I’m having so much fun & Patrick is so ready for July 26th to be here. ;) We just got back from a beautiful wedding on Lake Travis in Austin & being there helped ease Patrick more into wedding planning mode (thank goodness). Don’t get me wrong, he’s been incredibly helpful. It’s just that sometimes he thinks we’re planning too much or making things bigger than they should be, but I think this weekend he realized all that goes into planning for the big day. We are definitely trying to keep things simple & use our resources wisely, but even with that mindset, this is still a big day that requires a lot of planning. And we’re having fun making the plans!

How can we not be having fun — this is such an exciting time AND we have so much help. Watching the Lord provide for just our wedding day has been amazing, we can’t wait to see how He takes care of our marriage. What a good God we serve.
